Chapter 01The founder
An architect's eye, applied to brand campaigns.
KatLok is a boutique visual studio working with beauty and fashion brands. It was founded by Katerina Pankov (Lokhnina), an architect with ten years in architecture and design. Architecture taught her how light behaves, how material reads, and how composition, proportion, and balance hold a frame together. That discipline is what makes every campaign feel real and considered, never generic.
Fashion was never a side interest. It ran alongside architecture the whole way: years of following fashion design and its trends, and formal training in fashion styling with one of the leading stylists working with public figures. When modern generative production arrived, Katerina saw what it made possible: one craft where both disciplines finally work together.
Beauty and fashion are the closest industries to architecture. A fragrance bottle is a small building: glass, light, reflection, weight. A cream, a fabric, a piece of jewelry all live or die by how material catches light. This is the territory Katerina has studied her whole life, now at the scale of a frame instead of a city block.
Every project is creatively directed by Katerina herself. One eye and one standard behind everything the studio delivers.
